If you like it you should put a ring on it… So Prince Harry is going to do just that.

Harry fever continues following the news that the Prince flew out to Toronto to visit the Suits actress.

In today’s latest installment – one palace insider has dished on what the royal will use when he pops the question to Meghan Markle.

Just like Prince William proposed to Kate Middleton with one of Princess Diana’s pieces, young Harry will apparently do the same.

This week, a royal source spoke to UK publication The Daily Star about the big moment…

It’s claimes the 32-year-old will use an emerald from one of his mum’s favourite bracelets.

“The huge emerald ring is flashy but not ostentatious,” the pal dishes.

Our bet is that Harry will look at Princess Diana’s favourite emerald cut Aquamarine gem.

Di famously wore the stunning piece during a trip to Australia in 1996.

Another source has shared more on the bespoke item, revealing it has been commissioned to jeweller Harry Collins and will be a cushion set on a platinum ring.

The Princess adored her emerald cut Aquamarine bracelet and ring set, worn here at a gala dinner in Australia in 1996.

She also donned the sparkler at her clothing auction at Christie’s in 1997.

No surprise by the choice as Mr Collins, who works at G.Collins and Sons, is the official jeweller to the Queen.

“Her Majesty The Queen employed me as her Personal Jeweller in the year 2000,” Harry explains on their website.

“I feel most privileged to have been able to serve our Monarch in this unique position and am further humbled to have been appointed Crown Jeweller in 2007.”

Adding, “This is the greatest of honours that can be bestowed upon a jeweller by Her Majesty The Queen, involving the care and maintenance of the Crown Jewels housed in the Tower of London and other related duties.”

The tasteful gem is rumoured to cost £100,000 or $AUD167,592.

Prince Harry was just 12 when he lost his mother.

Harry’s romance with Meghan has taken the world by storm

Princess Diana, Prince Harry

A pal has previously spoken out about Harry’s influence for Meg’s ring: “For Harry, like Wills before him, using his mother’s gems means the two loves of his life will forever be linked.”

There had been chatter that Harry originally planned to use a gem from the Delhi Durbar Emerald Choker.

“After Diana died, the boys both chose a keepsake from Kensington Palace when they moved to Charles’ rooms in St James’s Palace,” an insider told Daily Star earlier this year.

“William picked his mum’s Cartier watch, and Harry picked her sapphire and diamond engagement ring.”

“But they had an agreement that whoever got engaged first would have Diana’s ring – and of course that was William and Kate.”

“Harry wants the same sentiment when he proposes to Meghan, so he is working with the jewellers to design something incredible.”

Princess Diana simply adored the heirloom piece, which was originally the Queen Mother’s.

No matter what he goes for, it seems Harry is set on Emeralds for his future-wife.

Harry, 32, and actress Megan, 35, began dating last summer, and their romance seems to be going from strength to strength.

But some insiders think the former military man will see the year out before he goes on bended knee.

According to Newsweek, “One person close to the prince says Harry is not rushing to ‘get things done’—royal-speak for proposing.”

“They obviously get on very well and have a lot in common, but they have not known each other that long. They need to find out if they can have an ordinary relationship within a very unusual setting. I don’t think anything will happen until the end of the year.”

And there is very little doubt that everyone wants to see the Prince make it official.
