On Saturday, May 13, Prince Harry was joined by his partners in crime, big brother Prince William and Duchess Catherine, for a garden party in Her Majesty’s backyard.

The delightful bash was held in honour of 850 very special guests – the sons and daughters of parents who have died serving their country.

Our favourite trio are back at it again.

“Their Royal Highnesses have arranged the event as a way to acknowledge and honor the fact that a number of young children have had to come to terms with the loss of someone very close to them at a young age.”

Harry clearly loves being around kids.

“The Duke and Duchess and Prince Harry hope the event will provide an opportunity for these children to broaden their support networks amongst other families with similar experiences.”

The palace’s garden were transformed into an open fair filled with face-painting and cupcake decorating stalls, circus acts, break-dancing workshops and even magicians were there to put a smile on the incredible kids’ dials.

Harry, 32, enlisted the help of Australian ventriloquist Nina Conti and pop singer Jess Glynne to make for a glorious day in the sun.

But the icing on the cake had to be seeing the royals let their hair down and mingle with the young guests of honour.

Prince Harry made a stirring speech to the attendees, saying, “We’re here to celebrate you and to remind you that we as a family, we as a nation, and we up and down the country will never ever forget about the sacrifices that every single one of you have made.”

Kate was in her element.

The young guests were thrilled to be hanging with royalty.

And it seems Harry achieved his goal of making the little ones’ day.

In fact, if you look at the snaps closely, you can almost hear the laughter.

“I can assure you that Buckingham Palace gardens have not seen this much fun, ever,” Harry told the masses.

The guests were thrilled to see royalty up close in person – especially Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s mum, Duchess Catherine.

The mum-of-two was glowing.

Catherine wore last year during the royal tour of Canada.

No doubt she would have shared many stories of her cheeky cherubs.

On Thursday, during her blink-and-miss-it visit to Luxembourg, Kate told cyclist Frank Schleck, that George and Charlotte are learning to ride.

“We talked about how they [children] really appreciate riding a bike. For kids, it’s great because they can exercise and – as long as it’s safe – go to school without their parents,” Frank recounted.

“She said their kids have bikes and that they’re always excited about trying to ride.”

Meghan Markle’s beau chatted to the brave family of Fusilier Lee Rigby, a solider who was killed by two Islamic extremists outside Woolwich Barracks in south east London in 2013.

Princess Diana’s youngest happily spoke to Lee’s widow, Rebecca and the couple’s two boys, George and Jack – who decided to dress up as Spider-Man.

“We met Prince Harry briefly while we were spinning the plates. He’s a really nice guy,” the 34-year-old mum told The Sun.

“He just wanted to make sure all the children were having a good time.”

“Jack wasn’t treated any differently to anybody else. Every one of the families there have been through a bereavement.”

“And it’s nice to know that all those children who lost their mums and dads have not been forgotten,” she added, just days before her husband’s fourth anniversary.

“Prince William, Kate and Prince Harry have done something so nice and it was a fantastic day for all involved. Jack had a brilliant time.”

Harry may have served in the armed forces but Kate seems to have a good aim.

Another attendee was 18-year-old Jamie Molyneux, who came with his younger brothers and sister, Arron, Charlie and Bethany.

The siblings lost their father Lieutenant Commander Ian Molyneux, while he was on duty.

Jamie, who was just 13 at the time, shared his experience with the royal.

“The Duke of Cambridge wrote to us soon after my dad was killed. It was very touching,” Jamie told The Mirror.

“He said he understood what we were going through as siblings, with his experience losing his mum.”

The bubbly brunette can’t hide her excitement.

“I had two choices to make. I was either going to go off the rails and end up in prison or accept what’s happened and do the best I can.”

Both Harry and William have shared their struggles with losing their mum, back in 1997, when they were 12 and 15 years old, respectively.

Earlier this year Harry admitted he had sought counselling to help him cope with his grief, while William said “the shock is the biggest thing and I still feel it 20 years later”.
