The 30-year-old-royal reportedly touched down at Johannesburg Airport last week for an unofficial visit to the African continent he adores so much.

Harry has travelled to Africa both officially and unofficially in the past, including with his Zimbabwean ex, Chelsy Davy, but his latest beau, Cressida Bonas was not seen accompanying him on this trip.

“It’s been a busy few months for Harry and he’s taking the opportunity to have a break,” a source reportedly told the Mirror.

The fourth-in-line to the throne, who is an avid animal lover and passionate conservationist, is expected to use the jaunt as an excuse to go on safari and enjoy the African wildlife.

Harry has previously told reporters that had he not been born a blue-blooded royal he would have liked to have made Africa his permanent home.

“I’d like to spend all my time out there…” Harry said.

“As a job it would probably be a safari guide,” he added.

In 2010 Prince Harry and Prince William toured Africa together and the brothers felt so at ease there that photographers were able to capture some of their most candid images together ever.

Harry says he adores Africa and has spent a lot of time there including backpacking through Botswana and South Africa for five weeks during May 2010.

During their tour Princes Harry and William visited a child education centre where Harry nursed a local child on his lap.
