Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are reportedly eyeing up a trip to Los Angeles this summer, as a source reveals they are already looking at houses.
After stepping back from their roles as senior members of the royal family, the new parents have been residing in Canada, where it is understood they will set up a home base as they transition between the UK and the North American country.
But it seems LA will be a third location in which the pair intend to spend plenty of time – and there’s a very understandable reason for it.
Before Meghan Markle became an official member of the royal family, the Duchess was an LA local.
Meghan was born in the eastern US state, and her mother, Doria Ragland still resides there.
With this in mind, it makes perfect sense that the Duchess would want to return to her hometown, as she and Harry settle into their new lives away from the confines of their previous royal roles.
Speaking to PEOPLE, a source revealed that the pair “love being in Canada”, however, “they are looking at houses in L.A. too”.
Confirming the pair would most likely have homes in both places, it seems a natural step for the new parents to make – and we reckon baby Archie wouldn’t mind being closer to his grandmother either!
That said, it doesn’t necessarily mean Doria will simply wait for the couple to make their way down to her. Meghan has welcomed a slew of close friends who have visited the couple while they set up in the North American country – and we’re betting Doria would be front of the queue.
In fact, before they officially stepped back, the couple spent Christmas in the North American country with Archie’s grandma.
According to an insider who spoke to PEOPLE, the pair are very much enjoying “living a quiet life”.
“They go for long walks, they do yoga, and Meghan cooks. They are real homebodies who love to chill out with Archie and the dogs.”
It’s also understood that the pair are chipping away at their next projects in the background.
Already, Meghan has been spotted visiting several local charitable enterprises within days of arriving in Vancouver.
Prince Harry meanwhile will continue to work on a number of charities connected to his patronages, including Sentebale and the Invictus Games.
