There’s cute, and then there’s really cute, and Prince Harry safely falls into the latter of the two categories.
In a surprise move, the Prince just shared a personal tribute to no less than 9.3 million people – and then some – to his wife Meghan Markle for a very special reason.
And the move is one we haven’t seen royals indulge in enough, quite frankly.
The doting husband and dad to baby Archie took to the couple’s official Instagram page on August 4, which happened to be the Duchess of Sussex’s 38th birthday.
He shared a sweet picture of the stunning royal to their 9.3 million following, which was taken while the Duchess was on her royal tour of Tonga with Prince Harry last year. In the photo, Meghan is seen warmly smiling.
Wearing a stunning blue Veronica Beard dress, the royal looks chic as per usual.
But it was Prince Harry’s caption that’s really sent hearts melting.
‘Happy Birthday to my amazing wife. Thank you for joining me on this adventure!’ – Love, H.
Let’s all just take a moment to bask in how cute this is!
The personalised post coming straight from Harry is one that we don’t often see from members of the royal family.
It is understood a communications team is behind the official Instagram account of the Sussexes, and indeed all other royal family member’s respective official pages.
The only other prominent family member who takes such a personal approach to her Instagram account is Princess Eugenie, who has made a glorious name for herself by posting some hilarious throwback and candid snaps to her grid.
Therefore, to see Prince Harry share something like this is a rarity, and makes his tribute to Meghan on her birthday all the more special.

Well-known affiliates of the royal couple including British Vogue editor-in-chief Edward Enninful and Jameela Jamil, both of whom Meghan has recently worked with on her guest edit of the aforementioned magazine, took to the comments section to wish the Duchess a happy birthday.
“Happy birthday Meghan 🎈🎁🎂🎉🎊,” wrote Edward.
Jamil wrote: “Happy birthday. ❤️”
The section was also filled with thousands of other comments from royal fans.

Other royal family members have taken to their own social media accounts to wish the Duchess of Sussex a happy day as well.
This includes Meghan’s brother and sister-in-law Princess William and Duchess Catherine, who shared their own sweet image of Meghan from Christmas Day 2018, where she is pictured walking alongside her husband and in-laws, including Prince Charles.
“Wishing a very happy birthday to The Duchess of Sussex today! 🎈”
The sweet picture was met with praise from fans, who took to the comments section to share their approval of such a public gesture.
“Fitting gesture: well done team Cambridge.❤️,” wrote one fan.
Another said: “SQUAD GOALS 🙌🏻❤️👑”.
We can’t help but agree with that!
Meghan is understood to have celebrated her birthday in private this year, no doubt with those nearest and dearest to her – Prince Harry and their adorable baby son Archie for starters.
And we can’t blame her for keeping things low-key this year – a lot has happened to the Duchess in the past 12 months. Becoming a mum and undertaking her first whirlwind royal tour for one.
With this in mind, we hope she has the day she deserves. Happy Birthday Duchess Meghan!
