Engagement rumours have gone into overdrive as Prince Harry and his girlfriend of a year, Meghan Markle, have been spotted putting on a very loved up display as they embark on an African escape for the actress’ 36th birthday.
Over the weekend the attentive royal was the embodiment of Prince Charming, putting a protective arm over his Suits partner in Botswana, southern Africa, as exclusive photos published in The Sun show.
Many royal watchers are predicting Harry to propose in Africa!
The couple opted for casual looks and beamed with happiness as they made their way through the airport.
Harry sported his trademark flannelette shirt, sunglasses and a hat.
Rocking a cap, slim-fit jeans and sandals Meghan was pictured holing onto a bubble-wrapped package – which looked to be a framed artwork of some description and a potential birthday present from her man.
But royal watchers believe there’ll be even more surprises in store with punters claiming Harry wants to propose to Meghan before his own 33rd birthday on September 15.

“Harry has been planning this holiday for a long time. He’s made the trip incredibly romantic. They’ll go on boats across the lake, walk in the bush at dawn and camp under the stars,” a source tells The Sun.
“She is super excited about their holiday together and to see Africa though Harry’s eyes. Of course, she’s visited the continent before through her charity work, but this is her first ever safari.”
“Harry’s done a lot of conservation work in Africa with endangered elephants and black rhinos and he’ll show them to the woman he wants to marry.”
The 32-year-old calls Africa his second home and would certainly serve as the perfect backdrop for an engagement.
Indeed, Africa holds a special place in Harry’s heart with the royal calling it his “second home.”
And let’s not forget Prince William proposed to Duchess Catherine in Kenya in October, 2010. Could history repeat itself?
Despite Harry taking his previous girlfriends on several trips to Africa, most notably Chelsy Davy, insiders tell the Daily Mail the prince has been steadfast in ensuring this getaway with Meghan will be entirely different from past visits.
“He doesn’t want to take her to the same places he took Chelsy. Harry is determined to show her something different,” an insider explained to the publication.
No matter what happens, it sounds like Meghan is in for a very memorable holiday with Prince Harry!
