It’s the moment we’ve all been waiting for! Hot on the heels of their royal engagement announcement, Prince Harry and his fiancée Meghan Markle have faced the world’s press for an official photo call at Kensington Palace in London, November 28th.
The adoring pair appeared on the grounds of The Sunken Garden, one of Princess Diana’s favourite places at Kensington Palace, arm-in-arm and blissfully happy.
As they strolled towards the press pack, Meghan could be seen gently rubbing her fiance’s arm as if to brace for the wild ride ahead.
Posing for the cameras the soon-to-be husband and wife, who have been together for 16 months, happily chatted to the media about their engagement news as Meghan flashed a glimpse of her enormous sparkler.
In a touching gesture, Meghan’s ring was designed by Prince Harry and features a stunning tribute to his late mother Princess Diana.
Her diamond ring is set on a gold band, and features a diamond from Botswana — a place close to each of their hearts following several trips there as a couple — and two side stones which were taken from Harry’s mother, Diana’s, personal collection.
Like something out of a movie, a beaming Prince Harry confessed to the press pack: “‘I knew she was the one from the very first day.”
Bride-to-be Meghan, 36, rugged up in a stylish white coat-dress by Canadian designer Line the Label teamed with strappy nude pumps, an emerald-coloured dress, while Harry looked as dapper as ever in a navy suit, a black tie as a nod to Princess Diana and a mega-watt smile.

Although their official engagement interview is set to be aired later this evening UK time, the press did manage to sneak in a few questions.
When asked how they were feeling, their elation was clear to see as Harry spoke of his joy.
“[I’m] thrilled. Very glad it”s not raining as well.”
While Meghan said: “So happy, thank you.”
When quizzed over how exactly he proposed in London earlier in the month, Harry smiled as he quipped: “That will come later.”
But the keen reporter pushed on, asking if it was romantic.
“Of course it was,” Harry beamed. “Very!” Meghan agreed.
Not backing down, another eager journalist shouted: “When did you know she was the one?”
“The very first time we met,” the royal responded.
After months of fevered speculation the 33-year-old had popped the question, Clarence House released an official statement on behalf of Prince Charles confirming the exciting news on Monday morning, British time.
In full, it reads: “The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle.”

Royal experts believe Meghan will become HRH The Duchess of Sussex but her new title will be officially confirmed ahead of their spring, 2018 wedding.
The bookies already have their money on an early March ceremony as it would allow enough time ahead of the arrival of the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s third baby, which is due in April.
