Prince Harry has touched down in Amsterdam to launch an exciting new travel-based initiative, and it’s come at an exciting time for the new dad.
Arriving in the Netherlands location bright and early on Tuesday, September 3, Harry was seen animatedly greeting people as he made his way into the A’dam Tower.
The Duke of Sussex is visiting the European country in a short visit to announce a new partnership between Booking.com, SkyScanner, CTrip, TripAdvisor and Visa.
The Prince has been quietly leading the initiative with the commercial giants to create an initiative for the travel industry to help protect tourist destinations and the people who live there for generations to come.
Announced in an exciting new post to Instagram, the project is named ‘Travalyst’, and has been in development for more than two years.

(Getty)In an exciting new Instagram post on Sussex Royal, it was revealed the project was a “global initiative striving to change the impact of travel, for good.”
“Our aim is to spark a movement to transform the future of travel, putting communities at the heart of the solution.”
The Prince himself shared a statement: “I am not a tourism or business expert, but through my travels I have observed the unique relationship between community and environment, and have noticed something alarming.
He went on to explain there wasn’t a “symbiosis or connection there needed to be” and he hoped to understand why this was.
“I am one of those people fortunate enough to have a platform and I want to use it to tackle hard problems, in the hope of finding solutions…and that’s how Travalyst was born.”
Prince Harry flew to the event on Monday evening via a commercial flight, and is expected to give a speech at the launch event today.
The project is no doubt an important one for him, as Harry himself has travelled near and far in his duties as a royal family member.
In the coming weeks, the Prince is also preparing to fly out to South Africa alongside his wife Duchess Meghan and newborn son Archie.

(Getty)Sustainability is a huge passion for the Prince, who, along with Meghan, actively works on a number of projects to promote initiatives that encourage people to make eco-friendly choices.
The couple’s previous work in the African continent has proved as much.
As president of the African Parks Network, Harry has visited a number of times before, and in 2017, he brought Meghan Markle along with him.
The pair worked with Elephants Without Borders and equipped a bull elephant with a satellite collar.
The pair recently shared a beautiful unseen picture from their experience to their Instagram account.
Meghan and Harry visited Africa together previously to engage in some sustainable initiatives.
(Instagram / @SussexRoyal)Harry also recently conducted an interview with celebrated ethologist Dr Jane Goodall for British Vogue, which Meghan was the guest editor of.
In the interview, Harry and Jane discussed family planning in line with conservation.
Harry told Goodall that he now views family planning differently now after being better informed about climate change.
He continued: “I’ve always wanted to try and ensure that, even before having a child and hoping to have children…” to which Jane interjects, saying: “Not too many!”
Harry then shared the golden nugget that has royal fans revelling: “Two, maximum!”

Harry’s brand new travel initiative is a great reflection of his dedication to conserving places in the world people hold dear.
We can’t wait to see more of this passion project unfold as the new dad continues his efforts in promoting sustainable practices.
