Life in the fast lane! Prince George to inherit Wills’ mini Aston Martin

When your dad is Prince William, these are the kind of hand-me-downs you can expect!
Prince George and Prince William

Two-year-old Prince George is already a huge fan of anything with “big wheels” so he’ll be beside himself when he learns he’s about to receive Prince William’s vintage Aston Martin V8 Volante, which is a miniature sports car for kids.

And in a beautiful touch, the gorgeous car was originally a gifted to Prince William and Prince Harry in 1988 from dad Charles for his boys to cruise about in.

William was just six when he took the lush set of wheels for its first spin.

Eventually Wills and Harry outgrew the fun toy, which is one of only 25 in the world and boasts leather-lined seats, a radio, engine and headlights, and it was moved into the Sandringham museum in the Queen’s Norfolk estate.

However according to The Sunday Express, the father of two recently had the Aston Martin removed from the public museum and refurbished so he could pass it on to young George.

“The car has been in the Sandringham Museum for many years after William and Harry outgrew it but it’s always belonged to them so there was nothing to stop them using it again,” an insider told the publication.

“Everyone is looking forward to seeing George drive it. I should think he’ll be in the car within a year.”

Royal rev heads! Prince Charles originally gifted the mini sports car to his sons William and Harry back in 1988.

William’s love for the luxury brand of car was even honoured on his wedding day back in 2011 when he and Kate drove from Buckingham Palace to Clarence House for their wedding reception in a brightly decorated Aston Martin sports car.

It will be a very welcome addition to George’s collection as according to Duchess Catherine, her blonde toddler is “obsessed” with all things tractors, trucks and cars.

Hopefully the cheeky tot will be happy enough to share it with Princess Charlotte when she’s old enough to take to the wheel!
