Watching our favourite blue-blooded family walk to their annual Christmas Day service at St Mary Magdalene’s Church in Sandringham is one of the most significant days of the royal calendar.
But this year, we could be in for a bigger treat as sources suspect that 2019 could be the year Prince George, six, and Princess Charlotte, four, make their official debut.
Writing for The Sun, respected royal correspondent Emily Andrews said that there’s a strong chance the eldest two Cambridge children will join their parents Prince William and Duchess Catherine on the walk to church.
“It will be so sweet. George and Charlotte will make their Christmas debut, as long as they’re both on good form on the day,” a source revealed.
“It’s the picture all royal fans want to see. The royals walking to church on Christmas Day is a rite of passage and so William and Kate didn’t want to expose their children too early, but they feel they’re old enough now.”

However, it’s unlikely that Prince Louis will be in attendance as at one-year-old, he’s a little too young.
Last year, Prince George and Princess Charlotte’s young relatives Savannah and Isla Phillips were spotted walking to the church service, so we could see the cheeky youngsters walking together.
And seeing as Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan are forgoing a royal Christmas this year and we’ll miss out on seeing them, we’re keeping our fingers crossed!
This of course, isn’t the first Christmas service the Cambridge youngsters have attended.
In 2016 when the then family-of-four spent the silly season with the Middletons, the then three-year-old Prince George and one-year-old Princess Charlotte were snapped attending church with their parents in Bucklebury.
Little Prince George was even snapped enjoying a candy cane- looks like he wasn’t on the naughty list that year!
Festivities for the young royals at the Queen’s Sandringham estate in Norfolk tends to kick off on Christmas Eve.
Thanks to their German heritage, the kiddies open their presents before the big day and enjoy a family dinner that night. They then wake up on Christmas Day for a full English breakfast.
Following the traditional church service, lunch is served and then the entire family sits down to watch the Queen’s pre-recorded Christmas message at 3pm. Anything for Gan Gan!
Last year, it was revealed that George and Charlotte were most definitely not sound asleep at home as their parents went to church.
Jill Lee, 71, told reporters that Duchess Catherine had revealed what had happened that Christmas morning as she greeted the crowds outside the church.
“I said to Kate ‘were the children up early’ and she said ‘very early, but it was lovely to see their faces’,” the royal fan explained.
Bring on December 25!
