Prince George joined his parents the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge at his first royal engagement today, where he met 10 other sets of parents and their children  – six girls and four boys all born around the same time as him.

The event was held inside Government House in Wellington to celebrate the work of the Royal New Zealand Plunket Society, a child welfare charity.

The tiny future king played with the other children and even stole another little girl’s toy doll after taking a liking to it. An apologetic Duchess Catherine quickly retrieved it before handing it back to its rightful owner.
