Prince Charles is known for many things – his cherry, lighthearted nature, his keen interest in the environment and the fact that he’s a wonderful grandfather.
But what people might not realise about Britain’s next King is a hidden talent that virtually nobody saw coming – and it’s all to do with fashion.
Yes, you read that correctly – Prince Charles is giving Duchess Catherine and Duchess Meghan a run for their money in the style stakes, because he’s been quietly working away at a several projects that essentially give him worldwide fashion influencer status.
The royal has teamed up with Vin + Omi, a British fashion label which is known for its quirky eco-conscious designs – something Charles is extremely passionate about.
In a royal first, Charles first collaborated with the brand in September 2019, when he donated his garden weeds to the designers, who utilised them for their next collection.
According to PEOPLE, the brand harvested more than 3000 nettle plants from the Prince’s Gloucestershire property, which was incorporated into their Spring/Summer 2020 collection.
Charles’ next collaboration with the brand will also include donated ash, willow, wood chippings and even horse hair clippings.
Now this is a collection we’re keen to see!
Speaking to PEOPLE, the designers said Charles is “very aware of the materials and it’s quite humbling”.
“People call us pioneers of sustainability, and then you meet someone like Prince Charles and he knows so much,” Omi explained.
“Sometimes I can’t believe I’m talking to the future King of England – even to be having conversations around sustainability is bizarre because you would think that someone so privileged wouldn’t be interested, but he is very learned.”

The environmentally-friendly collaboration certainly isn’t the first time the Prince has dabbled in fashion either.
In fact, just days ago, the Prince visited The Cambridge Satchel Company in Leicestershire, where he showed his support for the brand’s iconic bags, which reflect British heritage and echo designs from the past.
While there, Charles tried his hand at designing himself, helping to emboss one of the bags with a blocking and embossing press.
With this in mind, there’s no denying Charles is making waves in the fashion space.
Who knows, perhaps he’ll soon be making like Kate and selling out entire lines of designer clothing within minutes of stepping out wearing them.
Long live the stylish to-be King!
