Prince Charles, currently visiting Australia with his wife Duchess Camilla, has been forced to address suggestions that he carries his own toilet seat everywhere he travels, a rumour started in yet another unauthorised biography about the heir to the throne, set to be released in ahead of the Prince’s 70th birthday in November this year.

The exposé, written by British investigative writer Tom Bower, is titled the Rebel Prince: The Power, Passion and Defiance of Prince Charles, make ludicrous claims like Charles sending multiple bedrooms’ worth of furniture before of an overnight visit to a friend, including his own bottled water and toilet seat.

Of course, an Australian reported would be the first to question Queen Elizabeth’s son about transporting his own toilet seat while on the move, an inquiry especially relevant Prince Charles and Duchess Camilla travelled from the UK to Queensland on Wednesday, April 4th to open the Commonwealth Games and a brief royal tour of our golden soils.

A reporter from Hit 105’s Stav, Abby and Matt breakfast show has allegedly recorded his potty questioning of the Prince as he greeted fans at Brisbane’s Botanical Gardens yesterday.

Straight to the punch, the reporter apparently asks, “Hello Charles. Is it true that you carry your own toilet seat when you travel?”

Prince Charles was apparently shocked and appaled by the question, replying “Oh, DON’T believe all that CRAP. The VERY IDEA.”

Was the toilet pun intentional? We’ll probably never know.

Surely this will only be the start of a string of ridiculous questions for the Royal, following the release of the biography in the coming months.
