Prince Andrew has shared a gushing tribute to his daughter Princess Eugenie ahead of her royal wedding to Jack Brooksbank.
The father-of-the-bride is clearly feeling very proud of his daughter on her big day, telling ITV that the wedding would rival Harry and Meghan’s big day in May, which took place in the exact same location of St George’s Chapel.
Speaking about the star-studded guest list, Andrew gushed, “There are a few more [guests] than Harry had, but that’s just the nature of Eugenie and Jack, they’ve got so many friends that they need a church of that size to fit them all in.”

The reference to Harry’s wedding was light hearted, however there’s definitely potential for Andrew to wish for his daughter’s wedding to outshine her cousin Harry’s given his long running rumoured rift with his older brother Prince Charles, 69.
Growing up, the siblings 12-year age gap meant they were never particularly close. And as the years went by, royal insiders believe Prince Andrew grew more and more jealous of the privileges bestowed upon his older brother, aka the direct heir to the throne, and his two sons.
During the ITV interview, Andrew also spoke about being left in the dark for the majority of Eugenie’s wedding preparations, but he didn’t seem too fazed.
“I have not been a party to anything. I’m not allowed to do anything,” he said.
He also talked about the hyped-up wedding dress, which he believes might be an issue as he walks his daughter up the aisle!
“I’m led to believe that the train is quite wide, so I’ve got to walk on the left of the carpet,” he said.
Prince Andrew also gushed about his daughter’s new husband, saying he believed Jack was an “extraordinary man”.
As for his daughter? Andrew was the picture of proud father: “Shes a chip off the old block she’s a little like her father,” he said.
The father of the bride was keen to cause some hype around his daughters wedding. Last month, he worked behind-the-scenes to get one of the British channels to pick up the rights to his daughter’s big day after the BBC reportedly rejected it over fears it would be a ratings flop.
