We imagine the Monaco palace has been flooded with wooden gifts in celebration of Prince Albert and Princess Charlene’s fifth wedding anniversary!

The couple tied the knot in lavish ceremony back in July 2011 over the course of three days at the Prince’s Palace of Monaco.

Dressed in Giorgio Armani, Charlene Wittstock was truly a princess bride.

The glittering festivities were topped their sacred vows, which they said at Sainte-Devote Chapel.

Completing their fairytale, on December 10, 2014, the duo welcomed their first and second child, twins Gabriella Therese Marie and Jacques Honore Rainier.

Not even Grace Kelly could have planned a more divine ceremony! Five years ago Charlene Wittstock became the wife to Prince Albert of Monaco.

The couple first laid eyes on each other back in 2000, but it took 11 years before Albert made Charlene his Princess.

The South African born beauty, who is a former Olympic swimmer, met Prince Albert at the Mare Nostrum swimming competition in Monte Carlo, Monaco in 2000.

Charlene dazzled the world in her Charlene in a silk Giorgio Armani bridal gown. The dress, which required months of handiwork, was cut from 130 metres of silk, studded with 40,000 crystals and embellished with 20,000 teardrops fashioned from mother-of-pearl.

The statuesque former athlete truly came into her own when she welcomed her twins Gabriella Therese Marie and Jacques Honore Rainier back in December 2014.

The pretty blonde can’t hide her glee at the kid’s christening.

Last year, speaking in French for for the first time in public, Charlene surprised her husband and said, “[Prince] Albert I was the Explorer, Rainier III was the Prince-Builder, and you are the Prince of Hearts, of my heart.”

“She’s coming into her own now. I think she’s found a good space. I think I underestimated her,” the 57-year-old royal mused about his wife.
