The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have shared through Palace social media channels a darling photo of the future King ahead of his birthday festivities.

The photo is from Princess Charlotte’s christening. Snapped by his grandmother’s favourite photographer, Mario Testino – we see little tyke George in his father’s arm, looking as cheeky as ever!

Earlier this evening, tweeting to their 545 thousand well-wishers, Kensignton Palace announced:

“We’ll be sharing a special photo of Prince George later ahead of his birthday tomorrow. Watch this space! #HappyBirthdayPrinceGeorge”

The fourth-in-line to the throne is expected to have a rather normal birthday, with mum, Duchess Catherine organising a low key tea with a handful of friends and loved ones at Anmer Hall.

It’s been a jammed pack two years for the adorable royal, who in the last three months became a big brother to little Princess Charlotte.

He also perfected his wave on his first official Buckingham Palace appearance for Trooping the Colour.

We can’t wait to see what age two brings for the adorable tyke of Cambridge!
