If you sent a congratulations to the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge for their fifth anniversary then you would have been treated to a lovely surprise.
The royal pair delighted well-wishers by sending them personalised thank you notes revealing an exclusive royal portrait!
The picture was not released to the public, rather sent to thanks those who took the time to write to them to congratulate Duchess Catherine and Prince William on their love.
A photo of the card was shared on Twitter by royal photographer Paul Ratcliffe, who did indeed sent the young royals an anniversary card for their special day in April.
“Lovely thank you card received from TRH The Duke & Duchess of Cambridge for their 5th Wedding anniversary,” Paul tweeted.
The photographer claimed his Twitter had never been so popular!
In the image, Kate and William radiate happiness as they stand together in a picturesque garden.
The Duchess is dressed in a stylishly demure cream outfit with pleated skirt, while the handsome Prince looks dapper in a blue suit and tie.

The card read, “The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were so touched that you took the trouble to write as you did on the occasion of their 5th Wedding Anniversary.
“It really was most thought of you and Their Royal Highnesses send you their warmest thanks and best wishes.”
The photo was reportedly taken by royal favourite Chris Jelf, the photographer who also took the Cambridge’s family portrait featuring Prince George and Princess Charlotte that was released as a Christmas surprise to the public last year.
