Neighbours is returning to our screens after airing its season finale in July! So now is the perfect time to get nostalgic over the Ramsay Street locals of yesteryear.

One character who made quite the splash during her time in Erinsborough was Rebecca Napier, played by renowned Aussie actress, Jane Hall.

Jane, who starred on the soap on-and-off from 2007 until 2019, shared her own sadness over Neighbours coming to an end.

“As Neighbours wraps up today, I’m flooded with memories from my time playing Rebecca. It was an honour to work on such an enduring and iconic production. I adored it,” Jane penned on Instagram on June 11.

“And here’s to you, Mr Robinson… my TV husband and long-time villain… Stefan Dennis. One of a long list of tremendous actors I was privileged to work alongside,” she added, referencing her onscreen lover, Paul Robinson.

At this stage, it is unclear whether Jane will return for the new season of Neighbours in 2023, but from messy break ups to blackmail and violent outbursts, Jane’s acting chops were always showcased in outrageous and dramatic storylines; here’s hoping she does return!

One of Rebecca’s most defining moments was when she asked Paul for a divorce after discovering his affair with Diana.

When Paul sabotaged Stephanie Scully and Libby Kennedy’s friendship, Rebecca was disgusted with him and kicked him out of their house.

After leaving Paul, Rebecca rebounded with Andrew Simpson and agreed to marry him. But realising she still loved Paul, she eventually ended her relationship with Andrew.

After previously calling off their engagement, Rebecca asked Paul to marry her. But Rebecca and Paul’s wedding was interrupted by Lyn Scully who announced that she and Paul were still married.

Furious that Lyn ruined her day, Rebecca attacked her in front of their neighbours. Thankfully, Lyn eventually signed the divorce papers.

Rebecca turned violent after Declan told her that Paul had been embezzling money, while Diana Marshall confessed that she had sex with Paul. As a result, Rebecca was devastated and pushed Paul off the Lassiter’s mezzanine.

Rebecca’s love life got even more complicated after she found herself attracted to Michael Williams. Paul forced Rebecca into renewing their vows but Rebecca refused to leave Michael and even agreed to marry him.
