The latest instalment in the long-lasting Jurassic Park franchise stars Chris, of Parks and Recreation and more recently, Guardians of the Galaxy, as well as SAG-Award winning star Bryce Dallas Howard.
The plot of the new film features a return to the island featured in the 1993 classic and in spite of the lessons that we all learned about dinosaurs and humans not mixing well, it seems the original theme park is back up and running, opening its giant gates to the unwitting general public.
While the original ’90s movie saw the vicious Tyrannosaurus Rex terrorise the park, the new trailer introduces an even more terrifying species to audiences, known as Indominus Rex, or D-Rex.
Things are fancier now, as visitors are shown buzzing around the park in high-speed transparent ball-shaped vehicles that are presumably meant to be dino-proofed.
Suffice to say, the trailer shows that it doesn’t take long for things to go awry.
“We have an asset out of containment,” Bryce’s character says after we see some giant clawed feet breach the gates behind Chris’s character.
Which seems to be something of an understatement.
Queue shots of screaming, panic and an entire island of people running for their lives as some hungry looking creatures chase after them.
Will Chris Pratt’s raptor-training adventurer save the day? We can barely wait for the movie to find out!
Jurassic World is due for release in Australian cinemas in June 2015.
