Prince Harry’s girlfiend, Meghan Markle, has gotten a royal seal of approval by Mike Tindall, husband of Zara Phillips.
The former England rugby player has faced scrutiny in the past (much like Markle) when he married Phillips, the Queen’s granddaughter, in 2011.
Despite the fact that he hasn’t met the Suits star personally, he told Sunday People that he believes she’ll do “absolutely fine” joining the prestigious fam.
“It comes with a lot of history and the family that it is. It’s obviously nerve-racking,” he said.
“But she has been under enough scrutiny and pressure in her day-to-day life so I’m sure she will get through it. She will be fine.”
“As long as they are both happy that’s all that you can ask for. I’m sure she’ll do absolutely fine.”
Mike might also have his own personal reasons for welcoming her into the family…
“I’m obviously a big Suits fan,” he confessed.
“It’s a very good show. I will definitely try and get the inside scoop on it.”
Previously speaking to The Sun, he said, “A cameo in Suits is one thing I would definitely do, I could be a door bouncer or something. I’ll have to ask Meghan if she can get me in.”
Markle and her royal beau were spotted in Botswana, Africa, earlier this month for the actress’ 36th birthday.
“Harry has been planning this holiday for a long time,” a source told The Sun about the overseas trip.
“He’s made the trip incredibly romantic. They’ll go on boats across the lake, walk in the bush at dawn and camp under the stars.”
“Harry’s done a lot of conservation work in Africa with endangered elephants and black rhinos and he’ll show them to the woman he wants to marry,” the source continued.
We know Africa holds a special place in Harry’s heart; it could well be the place he pops the question!
