Over the years the Obamas, Michelle in particular, have become close friends with the royals.

The First Lady instantly hit it off when she met Harry to help promote his Invictus Games.

Earlier this year she spoke of the honour of working with his charity and thanked him for his service, โ€œI want to, of course, start by thanking Prince Harry for his outstanding leadership and for bringing the Invictus Games here to Orlando.โ€

โ€œHe is truly our Prince Charming.โ€

Speaking of the evening in which she and her husband met Harry as well as the Duke and Duchess at their Kensington Palace residence, she quoted Prince George who asked the royal, โ€œUncle Harry, why are you so quiet? Why are you so quiet?โ€โ€™

Harry then piped up, calling the moment โ€œso embarrassingโ€. He explains that George noticed that he was on his โ€œbest behaviourโ€ as he is โ€œnormally throwing him around the room and stuff.โ€

โ€œAnd he didnโ€™t understand what is wrong with you,โ€ the first lady said to Harry. โ€œHeโ€™s got a pretty good uncle over here.โ€
