Meghan Markle will soon step out for her (highly-anticipated!) first public engagement without Prince Harry, and she’ll make the appearance with a VERY important royal role model by her side: Queen Elizabeth.
The new Duchess of Sussex will join Her Majesty in officially opening the Mersey Gateway Bridge in Cheshire, opening the Storyhouse Theater in Chester, and attending a lunch at the Chester Town Hall on June 14, the royal family website states.
It’s a fitting line-up for the former actress, who will undoubtedly impress with her extensive knowledge of the arts.
Let the countdown begin!

Harry, 33, and Meghan, 36, recently made their first official appearance as a married couple.
On Tuesday, May 22nd, the newlyweds stepped out for a garden party at Buckingham Palace to celebrate Charles, the Prince of Wales’, 70th birthday. The name of the event is a tad confusing, given that Charles’s birthday is actually in November, but it’s just one part of a year-long celebration honouring the future king and the organisations he works closely with.

Meghan, 36, looked every bit the royal for the sun-filled event in a pale pink-and-taupe silk-crepe design by Goat, which featured sheer long sleeves and an empire waist. She accessorised the polished ensemble with a pale pink clutch and shoes, as well as a matching hat.
And surprising royal enthusiasts, the former actress chose to comb her hair back into an impossibly glossy side chignon for the swanky event — a huge departure from the messy bun we’ve come to expect from the newly-minted royal.
Harry, meanwhile, was garden party ready in pinstripe pants, tails, and a requisite silk top hat, paired with a springy, oyster-coloured vest and primary blue tie.
The loved-up duo are now believed to be enjoying some much-needed downtime away from the spotlight as they honeymoon in Alberta, Canada.
According to TMZ, Harry and Meghan have chosen the surprising Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge for their post-wedding break.
The resort has longstanding ties to the royal family. It became known as the ‘Royal Retreat’ after Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip stayed in Outlook Cabin during their visit to Alberta to celebrate the Province’s 100th Anniversary.
The Lodge offers “an abundance of wildlife and an excess of leisure opportunities in a remote wilderness setting,” which is perfect as we know both Meghan and Harry are huge wildlife lovers. They are rumoured to be staying in a luxurious log cabin, which the website says contains deluxe beds, soothing colour palettes, and breathtaking views of Jasper National Park.
Don’t mind if we do!
