Choosing a baby name is choice that plagues many new parents – one that seems almost too finite to fathom.
But for Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry, it seems the world might well decide that one for them – a flurry of bets have now slashed the odds on a brand new name that would be perfect for Baby Sussex.

As royal fans submerge themselves into something that can only be described as royal baby mania, the guessing game of possible baby names is one that we can all take a little joy in discussing.
Names like Diana, James, Edward and Alice have been thrown around as potential matches – but now? We’ve got a brand new front-runner: Elizabeth.
Indeed, with many touting Meghan’s baby to be a girl, punters are now hedging their bets on the regal name.
Betting agency Coral announced they have slashed the odds on Wednesday as a flurried increase of punters put their money on the royal couple choosing to honour the Queen.

Previously sitting at 16-1, the predictions that the royal baby’s namesake will be the Queen herself have been reduced to 6-1.
Losing its place in the top spot is ‘Diana’, which was a firm favourite among many up until now.
Speaking to Hello!, a Coral spokesperson said: “We’ve been bowled over by this gamble and out of absolutely nowhere Elizabeth is the new favourite to be the name of Harry and Meghan’s first child.”

There’s also speculation that Meghan and Harry might surprise us all with a baby name none of us are expecting – just like Kate and Wills did!
Following the birth of Prince Louis in April 2018, the Cambridges took four whole days to announce his name – which, according to Sportsbet.com.au, won at a price of $19 and was the sixth favourite choice at the time.
“With the last Royal Baby, ‘at $19 Louis’ wasn’t even in the top five in the market, so we won’t be surprised if we see another rank outsider come April,” said a spokesperson.
With Baby Sussexs’ arrival imminent, it’s clear the royal parents-to-be are getting very excited.
Taking to his brand new Instagram account shared with wife Meghan on Wednesday, Harry posted an adorable picture of himself with a baby after visiting a YMCA in South Ealing, while promoting awareness for mental health.

Accompanying the image with several other candid pictures from the day, the Prince wrote: “Let’s keep reminding each other that it’s okay to not be okay, and to listen to each other. After all, how we think determines how we act, how we feel, and how we treat ourselves and those around us.”
The post has already garnered more than 200,000 likes and thousands of comments from fans.
“So adorable!! Keep showing the world the causes that are important to you. The world loves you,” one fan wrote.
Another wrote: “Harry lights up when he’s around children. He’s going to make an excellent dad.”
It’s safe to say Baby Sussex has some very inspiring parents to be brought up by. Bring it on!
