There’s nothing like a little reminiscing, particularly where the royals are concerned.

So when Prince Harry and Duchess Meghan launched their very own personal Instagram account in April, it was safe to say we were ecstatic with the knowledge that we were about to see a lot more of the golden couple’s history.

And only days after launching, the new account is already providing the goods after sharing a rare never-before-seen picture of the royals in their early days of courting.

The revered new picture came about following Harry’s attendance at the Our Planet premiere at the Natural History Museum, which he attended on Thursday evening with Prince Charles and Price William.

The event was held to support the protection of the environment – something both Harry and Meghan are passionate about.

Harry, who is president of the African Parks Network, has proved this by visiting Africa several times – and one such time was with Duchess Meghan.

Indeed, in 2017, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle visited Botswana where they worked with Elephants Without Borders and equipped a bull elephant with a satellite collar.

An incredible picture from the trip was shared on the new Instagram page, and it’s safe to say we’re enthralled.

In the image, an elephant is seen being helped by the royals, with a caption explaining: “The elephant pictured was sedated for just 10 minutes before he was up and back with his herd.”

The post also discussed conservation as a whole: “Be it human wildlife conflict or natural disasters, these communities (park rangers, school children, families) are on the front line of conservation and we must do more to help them as we also work to safeguard the animals and landscapes that are in critical danger.”

In photos published by The Sun, the pair were seen arriving with their arms around each other.

At the time, rumours were rife that Harry would propose to Meghan, ahead of his own 33rd birthday in September.

“Harry has been planning this holiday for a long time. He’s made the trip incredibly romantic. They’ll go on boats across the lake, walk in the bush at dawn and camp under the stars,” a source told the publication at the time.

Explaining that the trip was Meghan’s first ever safari, the source said Meghan was “super excited about their holiday together and to see Africa though Harry’s eyes.”

Just a few months later, the couple became engaged – although not quite in the romantic setting of under Africa’s stars.

Speaking to the BBC, Meghan revealed the engagement came about on a “cosy night” with roast chicken!

“What we were doing was just roasting chicken… it was just an amazing surprise, it was so sweet and natural and very romantic. He got on one knee.”

Harry’s passion for the environment was evident during his evening at the Natural History Museum this week.

And it was a true boys night out, with William and Charles joining the red-headed royal in swish suits as they attended the premiere of the new Netflix documentary.

Meeting the documentary maker himself, Sir David Attenborough, the royals were a true sight to behold.
