Entering married life is a huge change for any person but for the Duchess of Sussex, it has been an absolute roller-coaster.
Thrust under the spotlight, Prince Harry’s wife has not only had to say goodbye to her life as Meghan Markle, she’s had to manoeuvre through all her personal family drama.
The most recent Markle shocker comes straight from her father, Thomas Markle, who decided to let loose on his youngest daughter in yet another unprecedented rant.
The former Hollywood director told the Mail on Sunday, “I’m really hurt that she’s cut me off completely. I used to have a phone number and text number for her personal aides at the Palace, but after I said a few critical words about the Royal Family changing Meghan, they cut me off.”

It will come to no surprise that Meghan is “at her wit’s end” over her dad’s remarks, however out of this turmoil, the 36-year-old has found support in her sister-in-law Duchess Catherine.
Vanity Fair’s Katie Nicholl reports on good authority that the pair chat weekly, over the phone, and Kate is “making a big effort to be kind to Meghan and look out for her.”
“Kate’s made a real effort to be kind to Meghan and to include her. They’re quite different characters but they get along well,” a pal told Vanity Fair, the publication that spoke to Meghan when she officially announced she was Prince Harry’s girlfriend.
“Kate’s been very sympathetic to what’s been going on with Meghan and her dad.”
Take a look back at Meghan Markle’s iconic Vanity Fair interview!
“I’d say they try to see each other once a week, sometimes with Harry, sometimes Meghan goes on her own.”
The insider continues, “Kate’s really busy juggling three kids; she has a lot on her plate and she has her own friendship group, but she has made an effort with Meghan. She’s been very sympathetic to what’s been going on with Meghan and her dad.”
Both women, who married into the royal family, actually have a great deal in common – outside of their Princes.
The pair, who we recently saw at Wimbledon, have reportedly become fast friends, bonding over their love of dogs, tennis and the great outdoors.
Catherine, who became a royal following her 2011 wedding to Prince William, is believed to be responsible for Meghan’s royal style transformation – including helping her connect with British designer Emilia Wickstead, who dresses her regularly.

The mum-of-three, also 36, also understands what it is like to have her family pulled into the public sphere.
While the Middleton clan have adapted to the change, they still have faced many big scandals.
Over the past 12 months, Catherine’s uncle Gary Goldsmith’s made headlines after he was charged with assaulting his wife.
In April, Pippa Middleton and her husband James were rattled after his father David Matthews faced two rape allegations.
Catherine isn’t the only royal who has taken to the American beauty.
The Australian Women’s Weekly shared how Prince Harry’s grandmother Queen Elizabeth is a “fan of Meghan’s”.
