There’s no denying Meghan Markle had the world at her feet even before she became a royal.
As a famed actress on Suits, a passionate and outspoken activist for admirable causes and even an author of lifestyle blog The Tig, the now-Duchess was always destined to continue doing great things, and make a name for herself in the process.
That’s why an innocent photo of Meghan taken years ago has sent the internet spinning – because it proves exactly that.
The unearthed photo, which has since gone viral on Instagram, features Meghan posing with the deputy editor of U Magazine Denise Cash.
In the image, Meghan is seen holding a copy of the publication which was published in 2014, and lo and behold, Kate Middleton is featured on the front cover!
It seems likely that the picture was taken a couple of years before Meghan even met Harry and the rest of the royal family – so if that’s not some spooky foreshadowing, we’re not sure what is.
Ironically, the magazine’s cover Meghan holds seems to claim Kate is having twins, which we can definitely confirm did not happen.
As we all know, Kate welcomed her second child baby Princess Charlotte the following May.
All the same, the picture does feel a little like a sliding-doors moment!
It is understood the picture was taken because Meghan herself had contributed to the magazine.
It’s not hard to imagine why she was picked for the job – 2014 was when Suits was peaking in popularity, so the actress’ presence in Hollywood was stronger than ever.
And in another meant-to-be-moment, perhaps this contributing gig was helpful in one of Meghan’s biggest projects in 2019 – being the guest editor of the September issue of British Vogue.
Indeed it was recently revealed the Duchess was the first person to ever guest-edit the milestone edition, and her ‘Forces For Change‘ theme and empowering content throughout took the world by storm.
Meghan’s relationship with Kate has been scrutinised by media over the years, but the same has always rung true between the two royals – their families come first.
While Meghan went on to sensationally exit her role as a senior royal alongside Prince Harry for the sake of their own mental health and their son, Archie, Duchess Catherine has continued to thrive in her role as a Queen consort-in-waiting.
Both women set an example of the importance of raising their children with knowledge and awareness of the world around them – and while there’s no doubt they disagree on some things, they will always be connected through their husbands.
