With just a few days to go before the Sussexes, Prince Harry and Meghan, formally step back from their roles as senior royal family members, their employment pipeline is already looking very solid.
Meghan’s first official film role since she left Hollywood back in 2018 when she marryied Prince Harry has been revealed – and it couldn’t be more fitting.
Disney’s official Instagram account shared the exciting news with fans, revealing that Meghan has narrated the upcoming Disney Nature documentary, Elephant.
The film is set for release on April 3 on Disney+ – which is rather good timing as people across the world hunker down in quarantine amid the COVID-19 pandemic.
We think it’s safe to say this documentary will bring some welcome entertainment and insight into an uncertain time for many.
And that’s not the only exciting new documentary the entertainment giant is releasing in the coming weeks.
In a second post, it was revealed another film, Dolphin Reef is also set for release on the same day – and this one is narrated by Natalie Portman.
Fans were excited about the newly announced documentaries – with many sharing their thoughts on Meghan’s big debut back on the big screen.
“No way!!!!! I’m excited! She has the best talking voice,” wrote one fan.
Another said: “Shoutout to disney for keeping me sane during COVID-19.”
Whispers of a Meghan/Disney collaboration emerged in January shortly after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex made the announcement that they would step back in their roles as senior royal family members.
The Times reported that Meghan’s work with the Disney would also include a philanthropic bent with the Duchess donating to Elephants Without Borders.
And in another revelation, an old video from July 2019 was also brought to the forefront of media attention when a fan pointed out a telling moment that might have sealed the Disney deal for Meghan.
As the Sussexes attended the Lion King film premiere in London, Harry was seen speaking to the Disney CEO singing Meghan’s voicing talent.
If you watch closely, you’ll just make out Harry saying to the film exec: “You know she does voice overs?”
He then elaborates: “You seem really surprised, but yes she’s really interested.”
Looks like Harry could be well placed to be Meghan’s new agent.

Duchess Meghan was best known for her role in Suits, where she played paralegal Rachel Zane.
The gig earned her global recognition, but the actress gave up her acting career when she married Prince Harry in order to fulfil her duties as a senior royal.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex wind up their official royal roles on March 31.
