In an exciting new update for the stylish royal, it has been revealed the 37-year-old has spent the last seven month helping to create British Vogue‘s September issue, its most pivotal issue of the fashion year.

In a statement released by Buckingham Palace on Monday morning (Australian time), the Duchess shared her excitement in being a guest editor of the issue, which has a very appropriate connection to her, and other influential women in the world today.

In the statement, Markle said the process had been incredibly rewarding, especially working alongside British Vogue‘s editor-in-chief, Edward Enninful.

The Duchess has helped to create the milestone issue aptly named ‘Forces In Nature’, which features a number of “trailblazing changemakers, united by their fearlessness in breaking barriers”.

In the issue, which goes on stands this coming Friday, Meghan’s highlights include a “candid conversation” between herself and former First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama.

The issue also highlights a number of iconic, changemaking women of our time, with the cover itself featuring them.

Those included are Prime Minister of New Zealand Jacinda Ardern, body positivity advocate and actor Jameela Jamil, women’s rights advocate and actor Salma Hayek Pinault and campaigner and actor Jane Fonda.

“Through this lens I hope you’ll feel the strength of the collective in the diverse selection of women chosen for the cover as well as the team of support I called upon within the issue to help bring this to light,” Meghan explained.

Meghan finished her statement with words to sum up the whole project: “I hope readers feel as inspired as I do, by the ‘Forces for Change’ they’ll find within these pages.”

The cover features a number of inspiring women.

Another special addition to the magazine is an interview between world-renowned ethologist and primatologist, Dr Jane Goodall and Meghan’s husband Prince Harry.

Just last week, the Prince actually met Jane in person, and revealed that she has a very strong connection with he and his wife.

In fact, Jane even revealed that she had met their new baby Archie, sharing a cuddle with him last month. She described him as “very cute and very gentle.”

Earlier this month, rumours emerged that Meghan had been in talks to work with Vogue, with a source telling Daily Mail that there was potential for her to write a regular column for both the US and UK versions of the publication.

“[Meghan] is working with Vogue as a contributing editor on a few fabulous stories about the causes that are near and dear to her and it may eventually become a regular column,” they explained.
