The British Fashion Awards took place on Monday and whilst there were many celebrity guests in attendance, from Cindy Crawford to the Beckhams, there was one who truly stole the show.
Duchess Meghan Markle surprised everyone when she attended the award ceremony at Londonโs Royal Albert Hall to present the British Womenswear Designer of the Year award to Claire Waight Keller of Givenchy, who coincidentally designed her wedding dress.
And all eyes were on the Duchess of Sussexโs growing baby bump which she lovingly cradled as she stood on stage, dressed in a one shoulder black gown, most likely by the design house.

As Duchess Meghan took to the stage, she was greeted by a roar of applause from the audience.
โIt is such a pleasure to be here celebrating British fashion and British fashion designers in my new home in the UK,โ the former actress said by way of welcome.
She went on to say, โAs all of you in this room know, we have a deep connection to what we wear, sometimes itโs very personal sometimes itโs negotiable but for me this connection is rooted in really being able to understand that itโs about supporting and empowering each other, especially as women.โ
โWhen we choose to wear a certain designer weโre not just a reflection of their creativity and their vision but weโre also an extension of their values, of something in the fabric, so to speak, of something that is much more meaningful.โ

Taking to the stage, Givenchy designer Claire greeted the Duchess, whom she only met 11 months ago in the lead up to the royal wedding, with a warm embrace.
โThis woman is so amazing. I got to know Meghan on such a personal level. To have someone like that trust you on such a personal moment in their lifeโฆ I canโt thank you enough because it was the most beautiful moment,โ the designer gushed.

Shortly afterwards, the British Fashion Council shared a stylish black and white video of Meghan cradling her bump alongside winning designer Claire and actress Rosamund Pike who introduced the Duchess.
And itโs safe to say the former actress has a few admirers.
One fan commented, โMeghan Markle is so beautiful with her baby bump at the British #FashionAwards. I love everything that the Duchess of Sussex wears. This gown is amazing. Meghan is glowing!โ
โWow๐๐what a wonderful babyglow in Meghans eyes [sic],โ another shared.
Meghan, who previously stated that she loves French, classic style famously wore Claireโs stunning design at her royal wedding to Prince Harry.
โMs. Waight Keller designed a veil representing the distinctive flora of all 53 Commonwealth countries united in one spectacular floral composition,โ the palace explained after the royal wedding.
โThe Duchess and Ms. Waight Keller worked closely together on the design, epitomising a timeless minimal elegance referencing the codes of the iconic House of Givenchy.โ

This isnโt the first time weโve seen Duchess Meghanโs baby bump on show.
Stepping out for a charity Christmas carol service last week with husband Prince Harry, the 37-year-old royal sent the world into meltdown when her royal bump was spotted in a midnight blue ensemble.
The mum-to-be has also been cradling her tummy at numerous royal events, most recently on an engagement at the Hubb Community Kitchen.
According to Kensington Palace, Harry and Meghanโs baby is due in the British Springtime which means Baby Sussex could arrive any time between March and May 2019. But judging by the size of her bump, could Duchess Meghanโs due date be sooner than we think?
Eagle-eyed royal watchers think the royal baby will arrive in April putting Meghan at five months pregnant after the Duchess of Sussex was spotted sporting a ring that featured a green peridot (Meghanโs birthstone), a blue sapphire (Harryโs birthstone) and a diamond, the birthstone associated with those born in April.
HELLO!โs royal editor Emily Nash only fuelled this speculation when she explained, โBy my calculations, the baby is due in late April.โ
