Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are doing their best to settle into a new life in Los Angeles in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, but despite the less than ideal circumstances, their 11-month-old son Archie is blissfully unaware.

After living in Windsor with his parents until late 2019, then beginning 2020 living in a secluded property on Vancouver Island in Canada, the young royal is now living in his third official home in the United States.

That’s a lot of changes for a baby under the age of one, but it seems he’s taken it all in his stride (or crawl, more accurately).

While it seemed Meghan and Harry were planning to stay in their Canadian residence for the long haul, the pair quickly decided to fly back to Meghan’s former home town of Los Angeles, shortly before flights were grounded due to the coronavirus health pandemic.

The move made sense for the family of three – Meghan’s mum Doria currently resides in the US city, and we can imagine there’s no place like home for the Duchess – especially during such an unsettling time.

As for baby Archie, it seems he’s perfectly content to be anywhere – so long as the sun is shining.

In a new report from PEOPLE, the youngest British royal is “teething and is a happy baby,” according to a source.

“I’m sure he is happy to be in the California sunshine,” they added.

The update comes after Prince Harry and Meghan’s official transition into their new, financially independent lives commenced on March 31 – a date laid out by the Queen.

Just like his mum, Archie is a big fan of LA’s sunshine.

PEOPLE previously reported the family had found a “secluded compound” to live in the Californian city while they stayed in lockdown.

“Like everyone, they are adjusting [and] being cautious and safe,” the source explained of their approach to navigating the temporary new norm, as the world battles to stop the spread of the virus.

And if anything, the down time is surely giving them plenty of opportunity to plan their next steps as they commence non-senior-royal life.

They hinted as much on Instagram this week, when the pair officially signed off from their royal account, Sussex Royal.

“While you may not see us here, the work continues,” they poignantly penned.

“We look forward to reconnecting with you soon. You’ve been great! Until then, please take good care of yourselves, and of one another. Harry and Meghan.”

Whether that means they’ll be back on Instagram with a brand new name and mission remains to be seen – but we can only hope that it involves both inspiring causes and perhaps some more insight into baby Archie’s early years.
