On Thursday, the soon-to-be-married pair were pictured as they travelled together by car to Windsor Castle ahead of the wedding rehearsal and preparations. They were escorted by police as they sped past crowds of well-wishers and up the famous Long Walk.

Meghan, 36, looked every bit wedding ready in the same ivory silk crepe bodysuit from Tuxe Bodywear that she wore during her first evening event with Harry back in February. She completed the look with a messy half-updo, through which a dazzling pair of diamond earrings could be seen.

The former actress smiled warmly and waved to fans who have already begun to line the streets in anticipation of the festivities. Harry, on the other hand, appeared far more serious.

Their appearance comes as Meghan deals with the disappointing news that her father, Thomas Markle Sr., won’t attend the wedding and will instead remain in Mexico where he is recovering from heart surgery.

Meghan waved and smiled warmly to well-wishers who had gathered to catch a glimpse of their arrival.

Prince William and Duchess Catherine were also spotted as they followed closely behind the future newlyweds.

Kate, 36, was pictured in a bright floral dress and oversized sunnies with her signature blow-out obscuring most of her face. It was the new-mum’s first public sighting since she introduced her son, Prince Louis, on the steps of the Lindo Wing in April.

The foursome are believed to have had tea with the Queen who travelled from Buckingham Palace to take part in the dry-run ceremony.

Members of the British Armed Forces also took to the streets to rehearse their roles ahead of the royal wedding this weekend.

Kensington Palace tweeted: “Rehearsing for the #RoyalWedding: Members of the Armed Forces were among those taking part in a dress rehearsal of the carriage procession through Windsor Town and The Long Walk today.”

What’s more, an Ascot Landau carriage — the type set to carry the couple on their first journey as man and wife — was also paraded empty past the castle.
