The Duke of York was spotted sneaking a kiss with Croation model Monika Jakisic, who also happens to be George Clooney’s ex.
The Prince and Jakisic were seen leaving a restaurant and sharing an embrace last night after another date – the third in as many weeks, leading to rumours about their involvement.
The speculation hit fever pitch today with Prince Andrew being forced to deny claims that the two were engaged. The questions arose after Jakisic, 34, tweeted a picture of a ring sitting atop a restaurant bill.
A spokesman for the Royal stated: “I can confirm the Duke of York is not engaged to Monika Jakisic.”
Jakisic is a Croation-born model and was in an on-again, off-again relationship with 52-year-old Clooney until last year.
The ‘Croatian sensation’ – as she has been dubbed – is a fan of posing in bikinis (as seen on her Twitter account) and says she is a ‘spiritual humanitarian’.
The playboy Prince, who has dated glamorous several women before and after his marriage to Sarah Ferguson, denied the existence of a love affair with Jakisic, with a statement from his representative saying, “They are just friends.”
