Prince William was 12,000km away from Kate Middleton on Valentine’s Day and one little boy took full advantage of his absence – by trying to woo his wife.

Eight-year-old Jaqson Johnston-Lynch presented the Duchess of Cambridge with red roses, a card and a cupcake iced with the words “Jaqson loves Kate”.
Jaqson told Kate he was sorry William couldn’t be with her on Valentine’s Day, prompting the duchess to tell him her prince had sent flowers and a card that morning.
Kate was in Liverpool for the day on her second solo public engagement.
