Duchess Catherine has worn an array of varied, colourful, wonderful ensembles over the years – but there’s one colour we rarely see her in.

Indeed, the Duchess tends to keep the colour white for very special occasions – the Christenings of her three children, for one.

And of course, as we’ll all remember – the not-to-subtle event of her 2011 wedding.

That’s why on Tuesday, when the Duchess stepped out in an all-white ensemble, at the very site of her wedding, no less, fans could not stop talking about it.

The Duchess and husband Prince William visited Westminster Abbey, which is where they were marred ten years ago next month, to visit the site’s COVID-19 vaccination centre.

Wearing a gorgeous long white coat, designed by the Duchess’ personal favourite Catherine Walker, it featured a floral lace embroidery down the front and a delicate scallop finish.

It was an ensemble that left fans spellbound – not least because it was a rare occasion to see Kate revisit the site of her wedding, and in bridal white, no less.

But instead of a gorgeous long train and a veil, the Duchess accessorised this week’s look with camel brown pumps and pearl drop earrings.

Tuesday’s engagement included a moment of reflection as the UK marked one year since going into its first lockdown.

“On the National #DayofReflection, one year since the first lockdown in the UK, The Duke and Duchess took part in a moment of reflection at Westminster Abbey, following their visit to the Abbey’s vaccination centre,” Kensington Palace wrote in an Instagram caption.

“Today we remember all those who have lost their lives as a result of the pandemic over the last twelve months.”

Kate lay some beautiful yellow spring daffodils in remembrance.

The Duke and Duchess also spoke with the staff who have been working at the Abbey’s vaccination centre throughout the latter part of the lockdown.

During their chats, William revealed he and Kate hadn’t yet got their jabs.

“I’m a while away yet until I get mine. But you’re getting there pretty fast so it won’t be long,” he quipped of the staff’s efficient nature.

Next month, the pair will celebrate their tenth wedding anniversary – so Tuesday’s visit was no doubt reminiscent for them.

Time really does fly – and soon, when the vaccinations are fully rolled out, fans Down Under may well be at liberty to visit Westminster Abbey, and London or anywhere for that matter.
