Harry and Meghan’s Royal wedding is just over a week away, and while most of the attention is on the soon-to-be princess, we can’t help but wonder with the Duchess of Cambridge, Catherine Middleton will be wearing on the big day.
Grant Moble, a gemologist, and one of the world’s leading diamantaires has a unique knowledge of the Royal families jewellery and the story behind each piece, and when and why it’s worn.
Grant has used his expertise to exclusively predict what Kate Middleton will be wearing at the Royal Wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle on may 19th, 2018 – and inspired by her love of sentimentality and strong family values, the look will be more than a little familiar.

“Duchess Kate has one of the most extensive and most impressive collections of jewellery to choose from around the world. She not only has her personal collection, but there are also many pieces in the Royal collection she has the option to loan”, Grant explains to Now to Love.
“This is one of the reasons that you do not often see her repeating the same jewellery. Although it is impossible to be sure, when it comes to her choices for the upcoming royal wedding, I would say the below pieces have a great chance to be seen.”
The Cartier Halo tiara
The most likely jewellery for the Duchess of Cambridge to wear to Harry and Megan’s wedding would be the same jewellery she wore on her wedding day, The Cartier Halo Tierra.
She often chooses diamond jewellery due to the immense meaning that diamonds play in life’s most meaningful moments, and this tiara would be no exception – tying the tiara to her brother and sister-in-law’s wedding as well as her own. This is an amazing tiara with its own history that Kate continues. It was initially made by Cartier for King George VI to give his wife (The Queen Mum) for their anniversary.
It was then given to Queen Elizabeth and worn by Princess Margaret and Princess Anne. It is a relatively simple tiara, smaller than most of the Royal tiaras and more comfortable. It features white diamonds in round and baguette shape in a scroll pattern. Its comfort and simple elegance is more than likely the reason it has been so popular to wear over the years.
Robinson Pelham Earrings
Like the Cartier Halo tiara, Kate will most likely choose her own wedding day earrings to wear for this special occasion.
The Robinson Pelham Earrings she wore on her wedding day were commissioned by her parents as a wedding gift. The earrings are set in 18kt white gold and feature a diamond encrusted acorn dangling from diamond oak leaves, both of which are part of their family’s coat of arms. The earrings are not large or showy, but that’s just classic Kate, plus they match the Halo tiara perfectly.
Coy Kate will no doubt be doing her best to blend into the background on Meghan’s big day, so these jewellery choices make perfect sense… but we can’t imagine blending into the background comes easily to this stunning natural beauty.
We’ll have to wait for the big day to know for sure.
