Four-year-old Princess Charlotte might have only just started school, but she’s already sussed out her go-to hairstyle.
Like her mum Duchess Catherine, we’re pretty sure Charlotte is in the best hands when it comes to nailing those enviable ‘do’s.
But according to Kate Middleton, there’s one particular style that Charlotte can’t get enough of at the moment, and it’s one that might be bit of a handful when you’re in a rush to get to school for 9am…
Stepping out at the RHS Garden Wisley on Tuesday, September 10, Duchess Catherine was in her element as she met a number of young families and children who came to see the opening of the Back to Nature garden, which was inspired by Kate’s own garden design.
Wearing a stunning pale blue floral Emilia Wickstead dress, Kate’s surprise appearance was made all the more special as she arrived at the garden event via a tractor (with none other than British legend Mary Berry at her side!).
Attending the sunny afternoon soiree were a number of special guests Kate invited through her various patronages – and the Duchess took a particular shining to one of them, letting her in on a not widely known piece of information.
Speaking to guest Louise Chipps and mum Lorraine, Kate shared an animated conversation with the pair, who were one of three families invited from the Evelina London Children’s Hospital – one of the royal’s patronages.
The timing couldn’t have been better for Louise, who had just come out of hospital two days ago and had her hair in two sleek plaits for the special occasion to see the Duchess.
And Kate definitely noticed it, as Lorraine explained to the Australian Women’s Weekly: “She noticed Louise’s plaits, she said it was Princess Charlotte’s favourite hairstyle.”
Lorraine added that Louise was extremely excited to meet “the Princess”.
Lorraine herself was thrilled to see the Duchess in her element as she mixed with families during the event, describing her as simply “stunning”.
Indeed Kate was radiant as she did the rounds at the daytime festival.
At one point, she was seen laughing and dancing with a small baby, proving once again she’s a natural with kids.
Kate made a grand entrance to the event via a tractor earlier in the day with famed and adored British TV personality and baking whiz, Mary Berry.
The Great British Bake Off queen and Kate looked to be having a jolly old time together as they attended the RHS event – of which Mary is a patron for.
During the event, Kate also delivered a speech, where she reiterated the importance of children spending time outdoors.
“I am not as green-fingered as many of you here,” she said to the audience.
“But I was passionate about creating a garden that inspired children and adults alike to get back to nature and reap the positive mental and physical health benefits that it can bring.”
