Duchess Catherine rocked not one, not two, but three different outfits on the first day of her and Prince William’s grand train tour of the UK – and she’s nailed every. Single. One.
Yep, we wouldn’t expect anything less from the style queen herself, who has been busy making a number of stops across the country via the Royal Train just in time to spread a little Christmas cheer to, well… everyone.
After setting off from London’s Euston Station on Sunday evening, the Duke and Duchess made their first stop in Edinburgh, Scotland early on Monday morning.
They arrived to the dulcet tones of Jingle Bells and Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, played by a local piper as they stepped off the train and into a crown of adoring well wishers.
Both wearing face masks and rugged up against the traditional December elements in the northern city, Catherine and William enjoyed a visit to the Scottish Ambulance Service in Newbridge.
Here, it was announced the pair would become joint patrons of NHS Charities Together – a very timely move given its work throughout the COVID-19 pandemic this year.

(Getty)For the engagement, Kate wore a beautiful blue coat by Catherine Walker, a recycled style worn previously by the Duchess in January 2019.
She paired it with a matching blue floral face mask and a small black leather wallet by favourite royal designer label Strathberry.
Interestingly, the leather goods company was founded and is based in Edinburgh – so Kate’s accessory choice was a rather apt nod to the local talent of the area.
Kate looked chic in a knee-length Catherine Walker coat, accessorised with a Strathberry wallet.
(Getty)Next on the day’s list was a visit to Berwick-Upon Tweed in Northumberland, where the pair met with teachers and pupils at the Holy Trinity Church of England First School.
The pair remained wrapped up, though without face masks this time as they joined in an animated conversation with staff and pupils there.

(Getty)The next stop was a visit to Batley Community Centre in West Yorkshire, where Kate and Wills spoke to volunteers who had helped elderly members of the community during the pandemic.
For this event, Kate made an outfit change, wearing a beautiful navy blue Hobbs coat, paired with a white jumper and a chic pair of wide-legged pants.
Kate changed her outfit for her third engagement of the day.
(Getty)For their fourth and final stop of the day, the Duke and Duchess disembarked the train in Manchester’s Victoria Station where they visited FareShare, a non-profit helping to combat food poverty and food waste in and around the British city.
This time, Kate made a quick outfit tweak, wearing a white winter jumper featuring a festive print.
As the temperatures dropped, the Duchess wrapped up with a pair of woollen gloves.
With Prince William by her side in his own smart jacket and scarf, this could have been a scene from Harry Potter – the Royal Train does have some uncanny similarities to the Hogwarts Express…
