Youโd be immensely surprised to get a call from Duchess Catherine or Prince William at the best of times, but for a healthcare worker putting in tireless hours in this climate, we canโt even imagine the emotional reaction the feat would spark.
Thatโs exactly what happened to some of the people who have been putting in heroic efforts to help fight the spread of coronavirus on the frontline.
While the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are currently holed up in Norfolk at their country residence Anmer Hall while the UK remains in a strict lockdown, the pair are still showing their support in sweet and surprising ways.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have found another way to thank NHS volunteers amid the lockdown.
(Gettu_Taking to Instagram overnight, the pairโs official Instagram account shared a video of some of the NHS workers who are doing all they can to help patients suffering from COVID-19.
In the clip, Prince Williamโs voice over the telephone is heard thanking them for their work.
โWeโd just like to say from the two of us how proud we are of all of you and how amazingly you are all doing under extreme circumstances,โ he said.
โThe whole country is proud of you โ so thank you for everything youโre doing and all the hours you are putting in.โ
The Duchess also added: โYouโre stretched in all sorts of ways looking after the patients in your care under such extreme circumstances.โ
โBut you also need to be able to make sure you support yourselves, and each other. It must be so hard, but Iโm glad to hear that youโre currently getting all the support you need,โ she finished.
In the caption of the video, the Palace wrote: โThe Duke and Duchess of Cambridge held telephone conversations with staff at two UK hospitals to thank them for their tireless work responding to the #covid19 outbreak.โ
The calls were made to Queenโs Hospital Burton in Staffordshire and the University Hospital Monklands in North Lanarkshire, with one very special call in particular to the colleagues of a health worker who had tragically passed away from coronavirus.
One of the workers spoke of the emotional experience of receiving a call from the royals.
โWe were so honoured to receive a call from Their Royal Highnesses,โ they said.
โIt has been a tough time for all our staff. However the support we have received from colleagues and the community has been overwhelming. The telephone call from the Duke and Duchess was totally unexpected and a real morale boost.โ

The charismatic pair provided a โmorale boostโ for the health care workers who are working tirelessly to help those suffering from the illness.

While the work they can do is somewhat limited due to the current circumstances, itโs amazing to see them make the best of their surroundings to show their support for people who are on the frontline.
Last week, the pair shared a sweet video of their three young children partaking in the Clap For Carers initiative, which involved thousands of people across the country clapping their hands out their windows and in the streets outside their homes to show their admiration for NHS workers.
The show of support is one of many to come out of the global pandemic, and weโre sure thereโs more to come.
