Just when you thought you couldn’t get any more envious of your pals currently enjoying a European vacation, Kate Middleton and Prince William are here to make things that much tougher.
Indeed after a hectic few months of public engagements galore, the couple are now about to do something completely different.
And for royal fans, this means something we’ll be having some very mixed feelings about.
According to a new report from Hello!, William and Kate have now officially kicked off their summer holiday, meaning they will take a short break from their royal duties over the remainder of July and August.
And while we’re glad the parents will be taking some much needed R&R with their three adorable children, there’s still a chance we might see Kate and Wills sporadically.
Indeed Hello! reports the pair are expected to attend the King’s Cup Sailing Regatta, which takes place in Cowes on Friday, August 9.
The pair are expected to attend given their patronages for the sport, and with both being keen sailors themselves, it’s an event they’ll no doubt take in their stride!
And if you were wondering about the three cutest members of the Cambridge family, there’s also a chance we’ll be seeing them too.
In fact, Prince George’s birthday will take place next week on July 22.
As per the tradition we’ve come to know and love from team Cambridge, we can likely expect to see some brand new pictures of the future King to be released on the day.
Much like Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis’ birthdays earlier this year, we might even see some photography of George taken by his talented mother, Kate.
In September, Princess Charlotte has her own exciting milestone to celebrate – she’ll be starting school. Another moment we’ll all be excited to see take place.
How will Kate and William spend their holiday?
Over the next month or so, it’s expected the Cambridges will spend time between their country home in Norfolk, and potentially in other places around Europe.
In the past, the Cambridge’s have spent time in the Caribbean where they’ve travelled to Mustique, a private Island.
While it’s unclear if they will go back again this year, it would be safe to assume they’ve got some exciting summer activities in store!

Earlier this week, it was revealed George and Charlotte have already kicked off their summer holiday in style after details around their play date with grandparents Carole and Michael Middleton emerged.
Charlotte and George attended a summer fete with the Middletons in Englefield, where they were seen having “such fun” according to a source who spoke to PEOPLE.
“George did pretty well at the ‘crockery smash’ stall. He looked very pleased with himself,” the source added.
“They were so cute, and Charlotte particularly was very friendly, politely saying hello to other children. George was running around, exactly like all the other children.”
Looks like they Cambridge kids know how to have a good time! Here’s hoping they have just as much fun on their summer holiday with Kate and Wills.
