Duchess Catherine has single-handedly slam-dunked our transeasonal fashion dreams with one very simple look – and it’s come at the perfect time.
Stepping out for her latest public engagement, the 38-year-old Duchess was radiant as ever as she visited the University of Derby, with her perfect outfit being only one of the many things she did that captured everyone’s attention immediately.
Kate’s visit came in line with the upcoming World Mental Health Day, which falls on October 10 this year.
The Duchess met and spoke with first-year nursing and sports societies students to shine a light on mental health in their demographic, particularly in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Arriving on a brisk day, the Duchess stepped out in a floral face mask along with a gorgeous AUD $450 checkered coat in beige (designed by Massimo Dutti).
She paired the look with a light blue cashmere sweater, also by Massimo Dutti, along with black ankle-grazer trousers and Gianvito Rossi block heels.
Of course, a royal can hardly go anywhere without drawing almost every eyeball in the house – as seemed to happen when the university’s resident students spotted the stylish Duchess make her way through the grassy campus.
One student even wrote on Twitter: “The Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, made me late for my lecture.”
Honestly, we reckon that’s a pretty justified excuse to be late…
The Duchess engaged in conversation with a number of the university’s students, hearing about how they had been supported mentally through the health crisis and what was next for them.
One told her, “There’s so much support,” to which Kate replied, “That’s great to hear”.
There was also something else about Kate we couldn’t help but notice – her glorious brunette tresses were looking lighter than ever.
Whether it’s a hairdressers job or simply the fact she’s spent a summer in the English sun, there was no denying the royal mum-of-three was glowing.
Now if you excuse us, we’ll just be searching for our own checkered coat now.
