Catherine looked radiant in pale blue and white polka dots that mirrored Diana‘s outfit when William‘s mother left the same Hospital 31 years ago.

Princess Diana sported a strikingly similar green and white dress for the occasion, stirring memories of the would-be grandmother.

“What people won’t be aware of is how much Diana, with her strong maternal instincts, relished the whole process of pregnancy. Indeed, she embraced any woman she saw who happened to be pregnant,” her friend Rosa Monckton wrote in The Mirror yesterday. “She would have been the most magnificent grandmother.”
