Justin Theroux explains why he and new wife Jen invited their mates on their honeymoon

The actor reveals their post-wedding escape was less intimate than most - and he wouldn't have it any other way.

After tying the knot with Jennifer Aniston, Justin Theroux admitted that they just wanted to continue celebrating with their loved ones. So their closest friends were invited on the honeymoon!

The 44-year-old actor sat down with Extra to chat about his role in the HBO drama The Leftovers, but soon the conversation steered to his new role as husband of everyone’s favourite Friend.

“It was a fantastic honeymoon! We had thought about it – we could just do a normal honeymoon, or we could go with some friends, keep the party going, relax and have fun,” he explained about their Bora Bora getaway.

Along with their families, Jen and Justin were joined by some famous friends including Courteney Cox, Jason Bateman, Jimmy Kimmel and Tobey Maguire.

The newlyweds and their loved ones lapped up their time at the Four Seasons enjoying a range of activities like boating and beach yoga.

“It was really special. It was really beautiful,” Justin says.

Now that both Jen and Justin have settled into martial life, he was asked if Jen will go as Mrs Theroux.

“I made her change both names, so she’s now Justin Theroux,” he joked, before clarifying, “I don’t think it would be great if she did. I think ‘Aniston’ is going to stick with her if she likes it or not.”

The chatty new-husband also talked about double dating!

While filming in Texas, Justin revealed he and Jen enjoyed a dinner date with Austin local, Sandra Bullock and her new beau, Bryan Randall.

“She’s got a beautiful little restaurant there called Bess. It’s delicious!”

Jen and Justin married in private at their Bel-Air Mansion on August 5th.
