She’s part of an elite club of VIP members who have starred on two of Australia’s most-loved soaps, first finding fame as Martha MacKenzie on Home And Away before bringing to life Elly Conway on Neighbours years later.
So, would Jodi Gordon ever consider a return to either show?
In an exclusive interview with Now To Love the star admits she holds both programs close to her heart and hasn’t ruled out a return to either.
“I think if it comes to the story line and what works for them, then it’s something that we would definitely explore,” the actress tells us.
In January, Jodi wrapped up her role as Elly on Neighbours so she could move back from Melbourne to Sydney and focus on her young daughter, Aleeia Anasta, who she shares with ex-husband and former NRL player Braith Anasta.

(Image: Neighbours)Now back in sunny Sydney, die-hard Home And Away fans have long been pushing for Martha to head back to Summer Bay to reunite with her mother, Roo Stewart, played by Georgie Parker.
“There’s been quite a lot of talk of that,” Jodi laughs when asked about working with Parker.
“I’ve always admired Georgie Parker, she’s incredible and I’ve been a huge fan of hers forever. If the story line was there and a discussion took place, then absolutely,” she explains.
Jodi, who played Martha on Home and Away from 2005-2010, says she’s open to reprising her role.
(Image: Home And Away)As for which Home And Away co-stars Jodi keeps in touch with, the star, who played Martha from 2005 until 2010, still speaks to a few close girlfriends from the series.
“I speak to Kate [Ritchie] every now and then, Tessa James and a couple of the crew members. They’re such an incredible bunch of people. You form these relationships and you don’t let go of some of them,” she shares.
Strong bonds were also formed when the mother-of-one worked on Neighbours for four years with Jodi forging a particularly special friendship with her co-star Bonnie Anderson.
“I love that girl, she’s so beautiful. From the first day she arrived, I remember we just sat in her dressing room and we just chatted for hours,” she reveals of their instant connection.
The actress describes her bond with Bonnie as “sister” like.
(Image: Instagram)“We’re so alike in so many different ways, it’s quite scary. Our mannerisms, the way we talk, our loud voices, the way we laugh, our personalities, what we do when we’re nervous or uncomfortable… It’s so funny! It’s quite strange, it’s like we really are sisters.”
“[Forming an instant connection] doesn’t happen that often in life but it definitely happened with Bonnie. I adore her so much and she’ll be someone who will be in my life forever.”
