Christmas is a time for family, celebrations and some seriously good grub – but for the international royals, there’s another very important thing to tend to.

Yep, the royal art-form known as the annual Christmas card photo is a very serious business, and while we’re still a week out from the big day, regal families from around the world have started dropping their coveted new pics.

First on the agenda is Queen Letizia and King Felipe of Spain.

The pair shared a gorgeous picture of their family featuring their two daughters, Princess Leonor, 14, and Infanta Sofia, 12.

The picture was taken during a trip to Asiegu in October 2019. It features the family standing on a balcony together.

Ever the style maven, the Queen wore a beautiful navy blue trench coat, while her two daughters look to already be taking after their mother, wearing matching beige trench coats.

Very stylish!

The royals also signed the card themselves with their signatures, which sat below the message: “Merry Christmas and Happy New Year 2020”.

Meanwhile, Queen Rania and King Abdullah II of Jordan also shared a stunning image as their annual Christmas photo.

The beautiful portrait featured all four of their children, Crown Prince Hussein, 25, Princess Iman, 23, Princess Salma, 19, and Prince Hashem, 14.

Like a lot of non-blue-blooded families, the royals chose to match in white shirts and jeans – twinning!

Back in Europe, Norway’s royal family also shared a beautiful festive portrait.

The family were pictured standing around a Christmas tree, with King Harald V and Queen Sonja seated on regal-looking chairs, while their son, Crown Prince Haakon and his wife, Crown Princess Mette-Marit and their two children stand next to them.

What a sight!

Now, the world waits with baited breath as the British royals will no doubt be preparing to drop their annual Christmas card photos.

This week, reports swirled in regards to Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry’s image, which is rumoured to feature a “selection of family photographs,” according to E! News.

It is also predicted that these images may feature none other than Doria Ragland, the mother of Meghan.

“Harry and Meghan are said to want [to] ensure that some of their Christmas card images reflect that Doria is very much part of their family and of Archie’s upbringing,” a source told the news outlet.

Guess we’ll have to wait and see!
