How does a future king celebrate his birthday? Not in the way you might expect!
As Prince George turns two on July 22 his big day will be surprisingly “normal”.
While his first birthday was marked by a huge party at Kensington Palace – complete with a guest appearance by the Queen and a rendition of Happy Birthday by the Irish Guards – George’s second will be a much more low-key affair.
Mum Kate has personally planned a family get together at the Cambridge’s country home Amner Hall.
A handful of George’s little friends will attend as will Kate’s parents Michael and Carole Middleton. George’s other grandparents Prince Charles and Camilla will not be able to attend as they are on an official trip to the West Country.
It is not clear William will be able to attend as he has just started a new job with the East Anglian Air Ambulance service and may be rostered on.
