Patrick O’Connor and girlfriend Sophie Dillman appear to have taken the next exciting step in their relationship – getting a puppy together!
On Thursday evening Paddy, who plays Dean on Home And Away, took to Instagram to show off his new pooch to fans.
“New big dog in the house,” he wrote alongside two heart-melting snaps of a black Cavoodle.
Fans were quick to flock to the comment section over the pup’s cuteness.
“What a beautiful baby,” one wrote.
“Oh my your dog is so cute,” a second added.
“Omg absolutely adorable,” a third said.
“New big dog in the house.”
(Image: Instagram)Speaking to TV WEEK, Paddy confirmed his new pup belonged to him and Sophie and they had named him Winnie.
“We got him a couple of weeks ago,” the proud dog dad told us.
“He belongs to Soph and me.”
The couple, who have known each other for eight years and live together in Sydney, have managed to strike a happy balance between their professional and personal lives.
The pair not only attended the same acting school in Queensland but have watched each other grow up – a unique chapter Sophie is thankful for.

(Image: Instagram)“We were work buddies first, and it’s helped us work well together now, so we’re lucky in that regard,” Sophie, who was a former nurse, recently told TV WEEK.
“It’s nice to have a relationship built on friendship. At the core we are best mates first and we treat each other like that, but it’s also made our relationship stronger starting out that way.”

“It’s pretty chilled. If we go out as a couple, we get spotted by fans but it [fame as a couple] hasn’t changed us too much. But I think Sophie’s an amazing actress and it’s a good feeling on set to know you’re comfortable with each other.”
