When it comes to Aussie soaps, there’s two shows that have stood the test of time to become iconic stalwarts of our screens – Home And Away and Neighbours.
And, every so often we’re blessed with a crossover, when a memorable actor from either show makes the jump to the other.
We’ve seen it with the likes of Jodi Gordon, Guy Pearce, Andrew Morley, Bernard Curry and many more.
Now, Home And Away‘s troublesome heartthrob Josh Barrett aka Jackson Gallagher is following suit with an exciting new gig on Ramsay Street.
And, as we always love to hear, it sounds like he’s set to stir up some romantic trouble between Bea (Bonnie Anderson) and Levi (Richie Morris), as a handsome newcomer named Nathan.
According to TVSoap, Levi, who has been caught up in his police work and juggling his epilepsy, is about to realise he might have missed his chance with potential love interest, Bea.
After missing every romantic opportunity to take their friendship to the next level, Levi spots Bea laughing and chatting to hunky stranger, Nathan.
Just how long Jackson will appear on the show is unknown, but we can only hope it’s as long as his Home And Away stint lasting from 2013 to 2016.
Jackson’s Summer Bay alter ego, Josh, was one of the show’s more memorable characters.
Josh shot and fatally wounded Charlotte King (Erika Heynatz) in the 2015 season finale, after discovering that Charlotte was responsible for Denny Miller’s (Jessica Grace Smith) death and that she knew the role Andy Barrett (Tai Hara) had played in Jake Pirovic’s (Fletcher Humphreys) death.
Josh was charged with manslaughter, and was given 20 years at his sentencing.
Then, Josh and Andy made a dramatic escape from court in a getaway car, but it was later revealed that they were recaptured and taken to prison.
Jackson shared a cheeky reunion photo with her Summer Bay brother, Tai Hara, in May last year, captioning the snap: “Rule No.1 when on the run.. never shave ⚠️🧔🏻👶🏽”
And another a few months before, writing: “Still running…”
Maybe we’ll see a return after all that running.
