Of course, Doctor Logan refuses to give up, but are his efforts to save him in vain?

Last week, a mysterious chemical attack at the surf club left several Summer Bay favourites, including Tane (Ethan Browne) and Martha (Belinda Giblin), fighting for their lives.

Continuing CPR even after Jasmine (Sam Frost) is forced to admit Tane has a slim chance of making it, Logan (Harley Bonner) is finally rewarded with a faint but noticeable heartbeat.

Logan’s next move is to run a full toxicology report, where he discovers the presence of sedatives.

It explains why Tane is so hard to revive, but poses a new question: who hated him so much that they’d launch a double attack?

It’s the question cop Cash (Nicholas Cartwright) wants answered. Although he and Tane were far from friends, the tough cop is determined to track down whoever is responsible.

“Cash is worried about Tane,” Nicholas tells TV WEEK. “No matter what has happened between Tane and Felicity [his younger sister, played by Jacqui Purvis], no-one deserves this.”

Thankfully Leah (Ada Nicodemou) is given the all-clear to leave hospital, with an evidently worried Justin (James Stewart) realising how close he came to losing her again.

Alf (Ray Meagher), who faced with the very real possibility that Martha might not recover from her injuries, keeps a vigil at his wife’s bedside.
