It’s the moment all Home And Away fans dread: Another Summer Bay fave leaves the shows.
Tonight, it’s Sarah Roberts’ turn to say goodbye as Willow leaves town to pursue the happily ever after she so truly deserves – with Alex (played by Zoe Ventoura).
The question every fan really wants to know is, is this goodbye forever?
“I would love to come back, you know, for now I’m really focused on moving forward and working on the more exciting projects and different characters, but I loved my time on Home And Away and I would come back in a heartbeat,” Sarah tells Now To Love.
It’s the lifelong friendships Sarah says she misses most and is the draw card for a comeback, even as we speak she’s just been catching up with former Summer Bay star Tim Franklin who played Colby on the show.
“We all become like family. And, you do get worried that you’re never going to see anybody again, but my husband’s still on the show and I’m with Tim Franklin now and we just went for a coffee on the beach.”
While it’s sad to leave, Sarah’s grateful for the relationships she forged on set, particularly with husband James.
“I feel like there are lifelong friendships and I mean, I got a husband out of this job and a beautiful step-daughter.”
With huge overseas productions now moving to Australia to film, Sarah is excited by what the future may hold and is auditioning for her next big role.
“I would love play a Disney princess in a film, I actually played Princess Jasmine and Pocahontas at Disneyland in Japan.”
She’s also been brushing shoulders with some of Hollywood’s biggest stars while focusing on her other career passion as a DJ.
The 36-year-old was recently showing off her surprise skill at an 80s themed party in Sydney with Chris Hemsworth, Matt Damon and Idris Elba.
“I’ve been DJing for about 10 years, but I put it on the backburner for a while. Now that I’ve got more free time I’d love to focus more on my music.
“I was DJing at a party with the Hemsworths the other day and got to meet Idris Elba and have a chat with him. There are some really exciting people in Australia at the moment.”
