Sam Frost is loved by her Home and Away co-stars, but since her closest colleague Sarah Roberts left the show, she’s struck up another lasting bond.

When Nicholas Cartwright joined the cast in June, he was welcomed warmly by Sam who shared a picture of the actor on her Instagram stories alongside a sweet message praising him for his work ethic.

“Tonight we welcome this legend @nicholas_cartwright to Summer Bay Nic is honestly such a breath of fresh air,” she began.

“He’s such a selfless and generous actor, and he has an epic sense of humour. We only communicate via memes, which is how it should be. We adore you,” she concluded.

A few weeks later, it became clear the duo were going to become close when the former Bachelor contestant revealed a moment that occurred between the two actors on set, and if anything, fans could see they share that oddball humour that made Australia fall in love with Sam in the first place.

The former reality star posted a picture of herself and Nicholas sitting while reading through lines on her Instagram story and captioned it: “Nic: Your eyes sometimes remind me of a cat. Other times you look like an alien or a lizard.

“Me: Oh….. thanks?

“Nic: That was suppose to be a compliment.”

Sam added a thought bubble above Nicholas’ head with a cat, alien and lizard emoji for extra effect.

Whilst Sam has shut down claims that they’re dating, they do make quite an adorable pair – the former Bachelorette even said so herself on Instagram!

But don’t worry, Nicholas has also made fun of his co-star as much as he can! Earlier in the year Sam shared a behind-the-scenes video filmed by Nicholas of the actors joking about Sam’s facial hair.

From behind the camera Nicholas films Sam, but the 32-year-old quickly warns him not to film so close to her face because she’s rocking a monobrow and moustache.

“Don’t do it took close to my face. I’ve got lots of facial hair,” says Sam as Nicholas laughs in the background.

Sam captioned the video, “@_nicholascartwright my monobrow &moustache is too hectic to be filming that close.”

When off-set, the friends like to hang out together with some drinks to chill and share a laugh.

Sam shared three pictures of them posing with their drinks and smiling from ear to ear, and she captioned the cute Instagram post, “I mean… we’re pretty much the same person. Except I’m way funnier • @_nicholascartwright.”

Naturally, fans were curious if something was going on between them, but Sam edited her caption to clear the air.

“Edit: this is not my boyfriend. this is my dear friend who plays my on-screen partner on H&A.. but I agree, we are adorable. Lucky to work alongside such a wonderful person who always has my back 👊🏻 x,” she clarified.
